DGIS 4.7 Release Notes (7/24/22)

Minimal Administration Required

The changes included in this release are estimated to have a potentially minimal impact on DGIS systems and DGIS administrator responsibilities. Actions required may vary depending on materials and regulations used within your DGIS system. Please see below for more details.

Update Highlights – This release will include DGIS functionality improvements along with bug fixes for Q2 2022. Listed below are examples of key changes:

Functionality improvements

• 49 CFR
  • Updated program to validate that when an IATA limited quantity material may or may not be shipped on a Cargo Aircraft Only shipment.
• ADR
  • Revised Transport Category Calculations for Multiple Identical Packages. 
• IATA
  • Revised UN package marking to show only when required for UN3480, UN3090, UN3481, UN3091. 

• IMDG
  • Added Exception to Segregation & Compatibility Functionality for Limited Quantities. 
  • Added Exception to Segregation & Compatibility Functionality for UN2031. 
• UPS
  • Updated DGIS PSN Editing Limits to match specific limits from UPS WorldShip.

Bug fixes

• ADR
  • Fixed language assignment when Shipper is Spain and Consignee is Switzerland.
  • Fixed Invalid Material Warning Message When loading ADR English/French Template. 

• AFMAN
  • Fixed ERG Number field so that when 'Print ERG Codes' option is off, The ERG Number field is not visible on the Shipment screen. 
  • Updated Packing Instruction to show warning message on completion of shipment if Packing Instruction is cleared and left blank.
• FedEx
  • Fixed spacing for the weight on the Certification.

• IATA
  • Updated Error message when Special Provision of A2 material is added to a Cargo Aircraft Only, International Air shipment. 
  • Fixed 'Overpack Edit Error' after deleting the first overpack when there are multiple overpacks. 
  • Revised Packing Instruction PI 693 Inner packaging max for Metal from "2.5 L" to "5 L". 
  • Updated Packing Instructions PI 555, PI 551, &PI Y541 to include outer packaging type Plywood Drum (1D) in the outer packaging drop down list on the material screen. 
  • Revised the Total Quantity per Overpack that prints on the form to match the calculated Total Quantity per Overpack in DGIS. 

• UPS
  • Fixed incomplete error message for exceeded package weight with unit of measure "Kg Gross" for limited qty materials. 
  • Corrected validation to allow UPS Ground shipments within Alaska.

• Miscellaneous
  
  • Fixed Net Quantity rounding for 10 or more decimal places. 
  • Fixed ERG IATA link in Parts system to only display one link per material selection. 
  • Corrected Label Diagram for Cargo Aircraft Only shipments, when packages are set to Passenger Packing Instructions.
