FedEx Integration module - New Registration process

FedEx is changing their API services effective June 1st, 2026.  This impacts the registration of our customers who have purchased the FedEx Integration module for their DGIS Enterprise subscription.  

This article outlines the steps that DGIS Administrators must perform prior to June 1st in order to transition to the new services.  DGIS Administrators will have access to this new feature at our next DGIS release, v5.7.1. 

Steps:

1.  Log into DGIS and click the Administrator Tab.
2.  Click FedEx Integration (left side-tree).
3.  Click the 'Register FedEx Account' button.  

If you are an existing FedEx Integration customer, the following screen will appear with information listed under the Account Number column and the Description column.

If you are a New FedEx Integration customer, you will see the following screen:

 

4.  Read the EULA (End User License Agreement), mark the checkbox 'I have read and agree to the FedEx End User License Agreement', and click the 'Accept and continue' button.

You must manually scroll down to the bottom of the EULA in order to click the 'Accept and continue' button.

 

5.  Verify your FedEx account number & address by entering your account number and address information in the associated fields.  

Account Number field:  Enter your 9-digit FedEx account number
Street address line 1 field:  Enter your Shippers Street address
City field:  Enter your Shipper's City
State or province code:  Enter Shipper's 2-letter State abbreviation
Postal code:  Enter Shipper's zip code
Country:  Select Shipper's Country from drop-down list
Click the 'Verify and Continue' button

If you receive error authentication messages and are not able to continue with your registration, please see the Authentication Error messages section at the end of this article.

 

6.  Choose a verification method.  Your choices are INVOICE, TEXT, CALL, and EMAIL.

 

- If  you select 'TEXT', 'CALL', OR 'EMAIL' as your verification method, a message will be visible stating, 'A secure code was sent using the requested delivery method'.   Enter the registration code received via the selected registration method in the 'Registration code' field and click the 'Register FedEx account' button.

 

- If you select 'INVOICE' as your verification method, you must enter information from an invoice less than 90 days from the current date in the fields, and click the 'Register FedEx account' button.

If, you haven't received a code after waiting a few minutes, click 'Resend Code' or 'Try a different delivery method'. 

 

7.  The message 'Your FedEx account number was successfully registered with DGIS" means that you've successfully completed your registration and can begin a new shipment.


Use of Locations:
If your company uses the DGIS 'Locations' feature and you wish to specify a Location for this account, select an existing DGIS Location from the drop-down list.  (The drop down list contains locations that were previously created in DGIS).  If you do not have an existing Location in DGIS but would like to add one, then click the Finish button and go here to view our article for creating DGIS a location.
 


Authentication Error messages
If you receive error messages such as 'The provided FedEx account number is invalid' or 'The provided address does not match the one registered with the given FedEx account' (screenshots below), you must contact FedEx directly.  Before contacting FedEx, double check that you've correctly entered your account number and associated data first, and try again. 

(FedEx phone number 1-800-463-3399, after hearing voice prompt, say 'Technical Support, after hearing voice prompt, say "Web Services"). 


Cancelling registration
If, for any reason, you need to Cancel your registration, click the Cancel button.
