Update Highlights – This release will include regulatory updates to the DGLs, DGAs, Packing Instructions, Variations, and any other type of regulatory content for Q3 2020. Listed below are examples of key changes:
- 49CFR

- Updated the 49CFR DGA for multiple materials to reflect the PHMSA Harmonize with International Standards Final Rule HM-215O, including:

- Created DGA pages.
- Added and deleted special provisions and Vessel Stowage “Other” codes and Locations.
- Text revised for special provisions.

- For DGIS users that have not logged in between the April 4.0 release (4/5/2020) and October 4.1 release (10/4/2020), the following login failure message will be seen:

“The password entered is not valid. You may have entered an incorrect password or you may need to create a new password.
In our ongoing effort to keep DGIS secure, we have made security upgrades that may require you to enter a new password. Please click the Forgot Password button on the login screen to create a new password.”
Bug Fixes - While there are a number of bug fixes included in this release, a list of highlighted bug fixes can be found below.
- 49CFR

- Validation for materials with primary risks and subrisks of 1, 2, 5.1, 5.2, 6.2, 7, and ORM-D have been corrected for instances where 173.13 is selected on the material screen.
- For materials with “Refrigerated Liquid” in the PSN, the Cryogenic Liquid label is no longer visible on the Label Diagram.

- When viewing parts, the subrisk is visible in the Subsidiary Risk column.
- Technical name is now showing on the Label Diagram.

- Validation warning has been updated for shipments containing UN1950 Class 2.2 Limited Quantity with no subrisks.

- IATA

- USG-05 validation warning will not show when shipping Class 1 materials within the U.S.A. if an EX Number has been entered as an Authorization.
- UOMs for ID8000 Limited Quantity have been corrected.
- Plywood Drum (1D) is now a selectable outer packaging when shipping a material with 550, 855, or 956 packing instructions.
- Corrected inner and outer packaging options for materials with packing instruction 868.

- Maritime

- When shipping dry ice that is not in the outer packaging, no inner or outer packaging will print on the form for the line reference the dry ice.
- Font size for Section 14 of the IMO Declaration has been corrected when the Print Data only is selected.

- Miscellaneous
- Exemptions are only visible for the Regulations and Transport Modes that are selected when adding the exemption to the part during editing.
- Replacing dry ice with another material no longer causes a validation error.
