Update Highlights – This release will include regulatory updates to the DGLs, DGAs, Packing Instructions, Variations, and any other type of regulatory content for Q1 2020. Listed below are examples of key changes:
- ADR
- Updated the IMO DGA for multiple materials to reflect the IMO December 2019 Corrigenda
- IATA
- Updated the IATA DGA for multiple materials to reflect Addendum 1 to the 2020 IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, 61st Edition, including
- Multiple packing instruction table changes
- Text revisions and corrections for multiple State Variations, including
- Added state variation country AWG (Aruba) and state variation AWG-01
- Text revisions and corrections for multiple Operator Variations, including
- Added operator variations AC-09 and EK-03
- Updated the IATA DGA for multiple materials to reflect Addendum 1 to the 2020 IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, 61st Edition, including
DGIS Functionality
Functionality improvements
- ADR
- UN3542 and UN3543 are now included in the existing validation rules for Transport Category 4
- IATA
- New packaging requirements and restrictions will apply when shipping UN1308, Zirconium suspended in a flammable liquid, for Cargo Aircraft Only
Bug Fixes - While there are a number of bug fixes included in this release, a list of highlighted bug fixes can be found below.
- Miscellaneous
- When editing licenses, the correct number of users selected companywide will show.
- “Subsidiary Risk” has been changed to “Subsidiary Hazard” on the Select Material screen.
- Validation for new users with default User Options has been corrected.
- IATA
- UNID and PSN are now visible on the Label Diagram for when shipping ID8000.
- The Inner Packaging max for materials under PI 206 (UN3168 and UN3169) have been corrected when shipping Cargo Aircraft Only.
- Validation messages have been corrected for shipments where the net quantity per replacement cartridge(s) is greater than 65g.
- Maritime
- Hyperlinks to regulatory e-books have been removed from validation messages.
- Report preview will show correctly when applying a Report Layout setting.
- TDG
- When the “Molten” checkbox is checked for a material, “Molten, Solid” will show correctly in the material sequence.
- UPS
- Steel Jerrican will no longer reset when selected as the Outer Packaging for a UPS shipment.
- Google Chrome
- Provided workarounds for users having issues accessing DGIS through Chrome due to their recent change in cookie security. Please see the following workarounds and steps in this article in our Knowledge Center:
- Close all Chrome windows and relaunch Chrome
- Open DGIS in an incognito window
- Clearing the DGIS-specific cookies from your browser
- Temporarily turning off this new feature
- Provided workarounds for users having issues accessing DGIS through Chrome due to their recent change in cookie security. Please see the following workarounds and steps in this article in our Knowledge Center:
