The changes included in this release are estimated to have a potentially moderate impact on DGIS systems and DGIS administrator responsibilities. Actions required may vary depending on materials and regulations used within your DGIS system. Please see below for more details.
DGIS Content
Update Highlights – This release will include regulatory updates to the DGLs, DGAs, Packing Instructions, Variations, Regulations Module and any other type of regulatory content from Q3 2015. Listed below are examples of key changes:
- 49CFR
- UN3091 and UN3090 will have overlap classifications expire on August 8th, 2015. Any parts using these materials will need to be updated on or prior to August 8th, 2015.
- UN2913, UN2009, UN3322 and UN2990 had a property change resulting in unmapped parts. These will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- International Air
- UN1082 had a property change resulting in unmapped parts. These will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- UN2372 1,2-Di-(dimethylamino ethane) has been updated to UN2372 1,2-Di-(dimethylamino) ethane. Any parts or templates will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- UPS
- UN3091 and UN3090 will have overlap classifications expire on August 8th, 2015. Any parts using these materials will need to be updated on or prior to August 8th, 2015.
- UN2372 1,2-Di-(dimethylamino ethane) has been updated to UN2372 1,2-Di-(dimethylamino) ethane. Any parts or templates will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- AFMAN
- UN0391 had a property change resulting in unmapped parts. These will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- ADR
- UN1268, UN1581 and UN2212 had a property change resulting in unmapped parts. These will need to be updated on June 28th, 2015.
- UN3268 and UN0503 will have overlap classifications expire on August 8th, 2015. Any parts using these materials will need to be updated on or prior to August 8th, 2015.
- ADR French, Spanish, Dutch, German & Swedish
- There have been a large number of updates applied to materials in other languages. Please reference the materials on the last page of this document to see if an update is required to your parts and/or templates
DGIS Functionality
Bug Fixes – This release has functionality updates limited to bug fixes. While there are numerous bug fixes included in this release, a list of highlighted bug fixes can be found below:
- Subsidiary class labels will now print on FedEx Laser forms and certifications
- Corrected EMS codes for UN3422 and UN3268 in the 2014 IMDG material table
- Updated DG tables to include non-ancillary proper shipping names
- Corrected intermittent issues that caused some 49CFR DGA links to return errors
- Removed errors for UN1950 when used on an ADR form that had two or more languages
